Listen to "Wavin' the Wheat in the Summer Heat" this Monday (6/29) from 6:00-7:00pm with Scott Pelan, Mike Smith and Michael Spero.
This week Nick Peterson, Jason Baker and Ryan Elder will discuss KU football and basketball, as well as bring you up to date on the latest Kansas Athletics news. We'll break down Thursday's NBA Draft and pick our midseason MVPs in baseball. Finally, we'll compare our Top 5 Sports Movies of all time. Join the Tailgate by calling 785-864-4044.
Kyle West, Kyle Larson, and Marc Hoffman will talk to David Narodowski, the Kansas shortstop that was selected in the 15th round of the MLB draft last week. We will also talk about KU football and the recently discovered financial problems of the Kansas State Athletics Department.
Tune in for The Tailgate's first show of the summer. Jason Baker, Nick Peterson and Ryan Elder will discuss KU Football and Basketball. At 6:30 we'll be joined by Kansas hurdler Keith Hayes, who just got back from the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. We'll also talk about the U.S. Open, where former Jayhawk Gary Woodland was tied for 12th place at the end of play on Friday and our favorite moments to this point the Major League Baseball season. Don't miss the debut of The Tailgate!
KU basketball it's never too late or early to talk about it because it's always on the minds of KU fans; I know it's always on mine. Coach Bill Self has held his basketball camps recently and with them comes the alumni vs. current player's games. Fans got an early look at next year's team and previous KU players.
Attending both games I saw some interesting things about the team. Before I give my evaluation/thoughts on the current players, here's a quick overview on each alumni game.
Game 1 (June 10th): Alumni won 67-52
