An award-winning young guest spoke with KJHK News about her performance with the KU Symphony Orchestra.

On Tuesday, Sept.27, the KU Symphony Orchestra performed Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony and Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto at the Lied Center.

The guest soloist for the Prokofiev concerto was violinist Bella Hristova, a young violinist who has already performed with orchestras around the United States and internationally.

After wowing the audience with her fantastic performance of Prokofiev’s challenging concerto, she spoke to KJHK’s Tommy Strauser about her love for that work as well about life as a concert violinist.

The music at the end of the piece is Bella playing the third movement of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto alongside the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra.
