Soft indie rock is showcased on this album.
I’ve always been a sucker for soft “spoken” indie music, I think it imparts such an awesome way of
thinking, sort of like, “Yeah I know music can be loud fast, but this is cool too.” DCW fits that bill perfectly,Track 2 is the perfect balance of melancholy-chappiness and clever lyrics that screams of Seattle
rainy days, or in DCW’s case, somber Wisconsin days. Also, in Tracks 1 and 2 they sport an almost
Gregorian like chant, and in Track 2 this is backed by a piano playing tunes that sound like French folksongs.
