Bearhug-So-GoneBearhug is a former quartet, now trio, hailing from Sydney, Australia. So Gone is only full length on the group’s Bandcamp alongside two EPs.

They start off the album with the earthshaking, fuzzed out and psychedelic “Borderlines.” So Gone is a blend of modern surf-rock on tracks like “Aimee” and classic, lo-fi 90s sounding on tracks like “Habit Wave.” The band glistens in the ethereal, underwater track “Chlorine” that slowly charges on into the future.

Despite their obscurity, Bearhug is in good company on Australian label Spunk Records with artists like My Morning Jacket, Surfer Blood and Ty Segall. So Gone will be a great summer record that will garner more interest in the future of Bearhug.
