After a 75-70 win over Georgetown on Wednesday Night in Washington, D.C. the No. 10 ranked team in the nation heads to Sprint Center on Saturday Afternoon to take on No. 13 Utah in the Kansas City Shootout. The Utes (7-1) are on a six-game winning streak like the Jayhawks. In this stretch the Utes upset Wichita State in Salt Lake City 69-68. On Wednesday Night survived a tough road task at BYU defeating the Cougars 65-61 in Provo, Utah. Against Georgetown the Jayhawks were led by Sophomore Guard Brannen Greene with a career-high 19 points going 5 for 5 from the 3-point line. The Jayhawks roll into their Turkey Day showdown with the Rhode Island Rams after a 30 point win over Rider. Top scorers Wayne Seldon and Kelly Oubre were held in check against the Broncs, though Seldon did record a team-high nine assists in the stomping. Break-out winger Brannen Greene tied a game-high 17 points with his performance, and he looks to continue his scoring prowess in the first game of the Orlando Classic.
