Arlen, the wonderful wizard of song, composed the score for the Wizard of Oz. In addition to writing Over the Rainbow, the song that is considered the twentieth century’s number one song, he is known for writing more than 400 other songs. His numerous hits, including Get Happy and Any Place I Hang My Hat is Home, were heard across the country — from the Cotton Club, a popular Harlem night club, to Broadway and Hollywood movies.
