Student Union Activities (SUA) and KJHK 90.7 FM will present Chet Faker in concert on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Lied Center on the University of Kansas campus. The show is part of an ongoing series of concerts co-produced by SUA and KJHK.
Australian electronic artist Chet Faker rose to fame following wide online distribution of his cover of “No Diggity.” His style layers R&B-influenced vocals and singer-songwriter chops over a backdrop of samples and electronic sound styles. Chet Faker’s debut solo album, “Built on Glass,” came out in April 2014. Before arriving to perform at KU, he’ll appear on lineups at the Treasure Island Music Festival and III Points Music Festival.
Tickets for “SUA and KJHK Present: Chet Faker” will be available beginning Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. Tickets for KU students with valid KU student ID will be $7 in advance and $10 day-of-show. Tickets for the general public will be $12 in advance and $15 day-of-show. Tickets for SUA Student Saver Card holders will be $5.
Tickets will be available at the Union Programs Box Office (Kansas Union, level 4), the Lied Center ticket office (1600 Stewart Drive) and online here. Online and phone ticket orders are subject to applicable fees.
This event is all ages. Doors for the event will open at 7 p.m.
“SUA and KJHK Present: Chet Faker” is an SUA-KJHK Live Music Committee production. Now in its second year, the Live Music Committee partnership aims to showcase up-and-coming artists at local venues in concerts that offer discounted tickets to KU students. Live Music Committee members pick, plan and produce the concerts.
