  • Deadline for priority consideration for Summer/Fall 2013 is 5pm on Friday, April 26, 2013, but all applications received afterwards will also be considered.

    *For returning DJ staff only - this can be for an existing special program, or a newly-proposed special program. DJs new to KJHK who wish to propose a special program must fill out the "New DJ Application" instead. To get involved with any of our other staffs, you can fill out a General Staff Application or email the staff's respective director.

  • List all days and times that you WILL be available to DJ on KJHK. For example, if you're available from Midnight to 9am and from 3pm until 10pm every Sunday, please put that information in the box above. List all days and time frames you're good for. We have over a hundred applicants for shifts each semester, and these spots are competitive; list only what you are willing to commit to.
  • Include all staff positions, on-air and otherwise.
  • What is your new special program idea? Describe in detail the show's content, how you would present it, and why it deserves to be a part of KJHK programming. What does your show offer that KJHK currently lacks? Include a list of appropriate artists/albums if it's a music special program, or a description of format if it's a talk show, etc.
    All successful applicants are required to attend a monthly meeting. Are you prepared to organize your work and school schedules in order to attend KJHK All-Staff meetings? Meetings occur on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:15pm in the Kansas Union.
    To be a part of KJHK, no matter what staff you're on, you must know and abide by the rules and regulations KJHK sets forth. This is vital to the station's continued existence! Please review the KJHK Handbook, available at www.kjhk.org in the "About KJHK" section of the site. Violation of station rules may result in suspension or termination.
    All KJHK employees must respect the station by maintaining its cleanliness. This includes picking up trash, refiling music, and generally maintaining a neat and efficient work environment. Do you agree to keep KJHK a clean, professional environment every time you are at KJHK?
  • By electronically 'signing' your name above, you agree (1) to work within the spirit and framework of the KJHK Constitution as presented in the KJHK Handbook, (2) to perform the duties required of the position to which you are hired, and (3) that you will abide by the KJHK Participation Contract, also found within the KJHK Handbook. Intention misrepresentation of facts on this application - or any other breach of this agreement - will constitute grounds for suspension or termination from KJHK.
