Say My Name: “Say My Name 2”

Local DJ has some mellow beats for y’allz.

Steve Swyers, aka Say My Name, has created his second sample-based album in the past year.  The album is a simple beat tape that has simple downtempo beats.  Say My Name explores a range of ambient sounds that are perfect for Beatlovers or a short song to fill an electronic set.  In an interview with the Pitch, Swyers said he a lot of influence from B-grade films and hip hop artists Madlib and RZA to put together his first full length.  In comparison to the last Say My Name record this one is more expansive and provides a more complete look at electronic music through Swyers’ eyes.  Also by the way he is LOCAL, so play it.
