Euphoric dream pop.
If you have seen the movie Drive (the one with a very quiet and maybe a little creepy but still painfully attractive Ryan Gosling) you know the song “A Real Hero.” If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. Bryan Cranston is in it as well. Anyways this is the band that sings the ionic “A Real Hero” from that movie.
Electric Youth is a Canadian duo and Innerworld is a lush blend of synthy pop and electronic elements. It’s an album which mixes fun and melancholy beats and harmonies. It’s typical euphoric dream pop. Most of the tracks sound similar, I mean there is only so much you can do with synthesizers. Nonetheless play “A Real Hero” and I bet you some listener will call in and ask if it’s the song from the Ryan Gosling scorpion jacket movie, the answer is yes.
