Jack + Eliza: Gentle Warnings

GentleWarningsJack_Eliza_optI enjoyed listening to this album, but the whole time I couldn’t help thinking, “This is good, but it’s almost really good.” It feels like it’s onto something but has just a little bit farther to go. This is their debut album so I can’t wait to hear what they come out with next. Spotify describes them as “a guitar and vocals ensemble who make harmony-driven indie rock with a heavy ‘60s sunshine pop influence.” I would add that that the harmonic melodies are hypnotic at times and unpredictable.
Fun Fact: Jack and Eliza first played music together in 8th grade and have been writing music together ever since, and that’s kind of adorable.
