Pony Time is a garage-rock band based in Seattle consisting the two musicians: Luke Beetham, also a guitarist in garage band Armitage Shanks, and Stacy Peck, a member of the alt-rock band, Childbirth. The raw vocals and bass/guitar from Beetham mixed with Peck on drums create the punk album Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True. The duo met in 2009 and have since toured nationally and released three albums along with quirky music videos directed by Perk.
Filled with feel-good punk rock and killer vocals, this Pony Time album demands attention. With singles like “Time Tells Me,” “I Like Your Shoes,” and “Pattern Play,” these eleven tracks are packed with upbeat, rhythmic sounds. All the songs feature intricate drumming along with catchy bass melodies. Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True has a clean sound in comparison to the pair’s previous work, Go Find Your Own and their EP, Pony Time, while still sticking to their punk roots. Pony Time’s Rumours 2 is a must have, with The Stranger calling it to one of the best albums this year. The band plans to begin a nationwide tour this spring.
