Spencer Museum Education: The mightiest weapon

Radio Afrika: Interview with Arielle Swopes

This week on Radio Afrika we got a chance to sit down with Arielle Swopes, a Topeka native and junior studying behavioral neuroscience.  In addition to school, Arielle is an undergraduate researcher and assistant to the curator in the African American Experience Collection at the Spencer Research Library. We asked her about her journey up until now and got an overview of the projects she’s working on at the Spencer as well as in the “lab”. In fact, this semester she helped put on Spencer’s latest exhibition: “Education: The mightiest weapon.” A very exciting individual and wonderful person to be around, so make sure to listen to the full interview below.
