While Lawrence has been on the receiving end of winter’s wrath lately, the Cottin’s Hardware Farmer’s Market is still going strong. Although it is confined to the indoors for the winter months, our diligent local farmers continue to come through with top notch products for a bargain. Nowhere else in Lawrence will you get the chance to walk in with $20 and leave with a bag full with impeccably crisp peanut brittle, exotic flavors of honey infused with flavors such as lavender and habanero straight from the honeycomb, and perhaps the best rose pound cake Kansas has to offer, and these are just a few of the unique offerings at Cottin’s. The Market is open from 4:00-6:00 in the afternoon every Thursday at Cottin’s Hardware on Mass St, and I highly recommend swinging by if you have any desire to support some of the nicest folk in Lawrence as they persevere through the heart of winter to bless us with their unique array of products!
