KJHK is a student-run radio station on KU’s campus. We have more than 100 student volunteers with opportunities in article writing, content creation, event planning, press coverage, sports reporting, and more. We’re always looking for new and great additions to our volunteer staffs at KJHK, all that is required is for you are a KU student currently enrolled. That’s it. No experience necessary, we’ll show you how it’s done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfa4<\/strong> DJ STAFF<\/strong><\/summary>\n

The KJHK DJ staff is made up of over 70 DJs who keep KJHKs airwaves fresh 24\/7! In order to be a DJ at KJHK there is no prior experience or knowledge required! KJHK programming ranges from classics like Jazz In Morning every weekday from 6am-8am, to Breakfast For Beatlovers every weekday from 9am-12pm. You can also host a general rotation slot to play whatever you would like or host a special program that is genre focused! Special programs include shows such as Malicious Intent that features a variety of heavy metal or Hickory Wind that features bluegrass, folk, western style music! \ud83d\udcf1 CONTENT STAFF<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Content Staff is a group of volunteers that is open to any student to create podcasts, videos, articles, and whatever content your heart desires through the station. Content staff meets every Monday at 5pm in the KJHK station, where we get together to work on ongoing projects as well as short stints of making fun stuff! Come check it out!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcbf MUSIC STAFF<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Our Music Staff here at KJHK assists our music directors with incoming new album reviews and helps curate the music available to our DJs at the station. Simply put, this staff meets every Wednesday at 5:30pm to talk about music, new and old, through any avenues that they may enjoy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfc0 SPORTS STAFF<\/strong><\/summary>\n

At sports staff, we cover Kansas Athletics by broadcasting its men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and softball games along with providing a platform for photographers and writers to upload their work publicly. We give students a foot in the door of covering highly-profiled Division I sports teams to help them prepare for a career in sports media. We meet Mondays at 6pm.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udce3<\/strong> STREET TEAM<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Street Team helps connect KJHK to both the on-campus and Lawrence community. Known as the station\u2019s promotional force, they make content, hang up flyers downtown, and table at shows to spread the word about KJHK. We meet Friday\u2019s at 2pm.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comprised of an incredible team of audio and visual technicians, Multimedia Staff operates out of the 366 studio to document and broadcast the live bands and artists who visit our station. Tune into our Live @s every Thursday. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
