To create something that didn’t sound like what I’ve done before. But was also unmistakably me.” Even without hearing the previous work of Clark, it’s clear that this music is charting new territory. Each song a unique personality and, overall, the album is warm, soothing and lively. Track 1 reminds me of a caravan full of gypsies. Number 2 is fit for an underwater adventure and almost sounds like it belongs in the background of a level on Super Mario. Until track 5, the songs are mostly electronic and bass-filled, but numbers 5, 6, and 10 enlist the vocals of Martina Topley Bird (heard in songs by Massive Attack) and give the intense, masculine beats a hint of sex appeal. Give this baby a spin, you won’t be disappointed.

Reviewed by: Erica Tausch on April 12th, 2012
RIYL: Mind-blowing music like you’ve never heard before.
Recommended Tracks: 2, 6, 9, 10, 11, ALL (FCC Clean)
FCC Warning: None
Label: Warp
Release Date: April 2nd, 2012

[3230,181
767,682
post-12175","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-new-music-rotation","category-rock-rotation","tag-clark","tag-erica-tausch
["GET
