{"id":17779,"date":"2012-10-20T18:38:50","date_gmt":"2012-10-20T23:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/?p=17779"},"modified":"2012-10-20T18:41:06","modified_gmt":"2012-10-20T23:41:06","slug":"whats-the-best-way-to-start-your-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/2012\/10\/20\/whats-the-best-way-to-start-your-day\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s the best way to start your day?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DJ Fuzzbucket shares why Breakfast for Beatlovers is the best way to start your day<!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s time once again to open that kitchen and feed everyone some delicious breakfast, pouring straight \u00a0through your speakers into your ear holes\u2026 er, well, out from your computer screens and into your eyeballs this time around.\u00a0 It\u2019s time to wake up \u2018cause this is <strong>DJ FUZZBUCKET<\/strong>\u2019s blog post for all you KJHK listeners-now-readers.\u00a0 So for starters, number one \u201cYo\u201d and number 2 \u201ccheck it\u201d.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a little about me:\u00a0 I\u2019m a senior here at KU, been a DJ at KJHK for a few semesters locking down those weekly\u00a0 <strong>MONDAYS<\/strong>. \u00a0I, along with 4 other beat driven samurai disk jockeys host <strong>BREAKFAST FOR BEATLOVERS<\/strong> from <strong>9am-N00n<\/strong>.\u00a0 We do our best to bring you the best heart pounding bass dribbling 3 hours of piping hot and freshly served Hip-hop and electronica music to help wake you up in the blasted forsaken early hours of the day.\u00a0 Each one of us has our own spins and tastes and little bits of extra flavors to season our tunes to the utmost beat perfection.\u00a0 For myself, I tend to use a bit of funk to play through that nice groovyness that fits so well between hard core hip hop and the beep-to-boop-a-tronics of house (well, mostly house music).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC01901.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17780\" title=\"DSC01901\" src=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC01901-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC01901-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC01901-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Music I tend to listen too is a good mix of a lot of different genres except for country (any), cool rock (\u201cKenny \u2018G\u2019\u201d), 80\u2019s hair bands (\u201cKiss\u201d-esque), some emo-alternative (like \u201cAlice In Chains\u201d, \u201cNickel Back\u201d, and \u201cJustin Beaber\u201d), happy hard core (600bpm+), and \u2018most\u2019 forms of dubstep (\u201cSkrillix\u201d *shudders and gags*).<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve got a nice foothold into electronica with my favorite genres being electro-clash and House music (Garage, Chicago, Dark, it\u2019s all good), and that sort of deal.\u00a0 As far as hip-hop, I\u2019m still finding my way through it, though I can say I greatly enjoy \u201cNerd-Core\u201d with \u201cMC Chris\u201d and \u201cMC Frontalot\u201d.\u00a0 As far as funk, well, there\u2019s \u201cKC and the Sunshine\u201d Band, \u201cP-funk\u201d, \u201cEarth Wind and Fire\u201d, and quite a few others.\u00a0 I also like some old school 80\u2019s Punk with\u201d Dead Kennedys\u201d, \u201cSex Pistols\u201d, and \u201cJoan Jett and the Black Hearts\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DJ FUZZBUCKET\u2019s Current playlist:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Green Velvet<\/strong>: La La Land<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spankers<\/strong>: Everyone\u2019s a DJ<\/li>\n<li><strong>Top Billing<\/strong>: Playboy Anthem<\/li>\n<li><strong>MC Chris<\/strong>: Discord<\/li>\n<li><strong>My Robot Friend<\/strong>: The Fake (Zombination Remix)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Icky<\/strong>: Ring-A-Ding Baby!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deadmau5 &amp; Kaskade<\/strong>: I Remember<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Mac Project &amp; Therese<\/strong>: Another Love (Wideboys Mix)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nas<\/strong>: Hip Hop Is Dead ft.
