A multitude of genres are present throughout the album-old school funk and soul, elements of disco, groove and dance-floor pop, as well as heavier influence from reggae\/dub and progressive electronic. Synth fills and melodies, heavy bass lines and a variety of vocal textures make for a diverse and rich sonic experience. Migs has an impressive roster of experienced vocalist to assist his efforts bringing so many styles into one album. <em>Outside the Skyline <\/em>features reggae legends Freddie Macgregor, Capleton and Half Pint.
