\"Magee<\/a>French Connection is a program that has been at the station for some time now and when the\u00a0previous\u00a0host graduated, I decided to fill that gap and bring French music back to KJ. I am a junior at KU double majoring in French and International Studies. I spent last semester in Angers, France where I acquired as much French tunes as possible.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I’ll be doing things a little different from the last host. Each week will start with some classic music from the 1930s and will slowly build up to today’s music. I hope to show the great variety of styles and genres that French music has to offer from Edith Piaf to Brigitte Bardot and Yelle. Tune in Wednesday nights from 10-midnight for all things French.<\/div>\n

Je m’appelle Sarah et je suis le nouveau DJ pour la Connexion Fran\u00e7aise. L’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, j’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 KJHK dans le personnel de la musique et a commenc\u00e9 le DJing pendant l’\u00e9t\u00e9. La Connexion Fran\u00e7aise est un programme qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 la station depuis certain temps et quand le DJ dernier partait, j’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 rapporter la musique fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 KJHK. Je suis dans ma troisi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e d’\u00e9tudes \u00e0 KU o\u00f9 j’\u00e9tudie les \u00e9tudes internationales et fran\u00e7ais. J’ai pass\u00e9 le semestre dernier \u00e0 Angers, France o\u00f9 j’ai acquis autant de m\u00e9lodies fran\u00e7aise que possible.<\/em><\/div>\n

Je vais faire les choses un peu diff\u00e9rentes de le DJ dernier. Chaque semaine d\u00e9butera avec un peu de musique classique des ann\u00e9es 1930 et augmenter progressivement jusqu’\u00e0 la musique d’aujourd’hui. J’esp\u00e8re montrer la grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de styles et de genres que la musique fran\u00e7aise a \u00e0 offrir d’Edith Piaf \u00e0 Brigitte Bardot et Yelle. \u00c9coutez-moi les mercredis soirs \u00e0 partir de 10-minuit pour toutes les choses fran\u00e7aises.<\/em><\/div>\n
