Electronic music from France dominated the airwaves this month on The French Connection<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week I switched things up a bit and dedicated my show all to electronic French music. Of course, everyone knows the big names in French electronic music like M83, Daft Punk and Justice but I think it\u2019s important to look back and see the older bands that influenced that electronic sound we love today. Pierre Henry was one of the earliest French pioneers of this genre.\u00a0\u00a0His song \u201cMesse pour le temps present\u201d in 1967 is one of the first examples of French electronic music.<\/p>\n

News from France: The bill to legalize same sex marriage passed with the French National Assembly on February 12th<\/sup>. The bill now has to be passed by the Senate and approved by the French president, Fran\u00e7ois Holland. If this bill is passed then same sex couples can not only marry but also adopt children.<\/p>\n

La semaine derni\u00e8re, j’ai chang\u00e9 un peu les choses et consacr\u00e9 mon emission complet \u00e0 la musique \u00e9lectronique fran\u00e7aise. Bien s\u00fbr, tout le monde conna\u00eet les grands noms de la musique \u00e9lectronique fran\u00e7aise comme M83, Daft Punk et Justice, mais je pense qu’il est important de regarder et de voir les musiciens plus \u00e2g\u00e9s qui ont influenc\u00e9 ce bruit \u00e9lectronique, nous aimons aujourd’hui. Pierre Henry a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’un des premiers pionniers fran\u00e7ais de ce genre. Sa chanson “Messe pour le Temps pr\u00e9sent” en 1967 est l’un des premiers exemples de la musique \u00e9lectronique fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n

Nouvelles de France: Le projet de loi visant \u00e0 l\u00e9galiser le mariage homosexuel adopt\u00e9e par l’Assembl\u00e9e Nationale fran\u00e7aise le 12 F\u00e9vrier. Le projet de loi doit maintenant \u00eatre adopt\u00e9 par le S\u00e9nat et approuv\u00e9 par le pr\u00e9sident fran\u00e7ais, Fran\u00e7ois Hollande. Si cette loi est adopt\u00e9e, puis couples de m\u00eame sexe peuvent se marier et aussi d’adopter des enfants.<\/p>\n
