Before the battle of the bands kicked off\u2014 that is, our eight contestants:\u00a0Atilla<\/a>,\u00a0Captain Ahab and the Narwhals<\/a>,\u00a0Dishes<\/a>,\u00a0Fire in the Churchyard<\/a>, Instant Tradition<\/a>,\u00a0Panda Circus<\/a>,\u00a0Royal<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>and\u00a0Strider<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>on Friday and Saturday, we got Farmer’s Ball weekend started with a stellar pre-party Thursday night at the Jackpot Music Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 9 p.m. show featured Farmer’s Ball 2010 winners The Will Nots<\/a>, <\/strong>plus Nezbeat<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Hospital Ships<\/a><\/strong> (featured on a little outlet known as NPR<\/em> here<\/a>, here<\/a> and here<\/a>). It’s hosted by Tyga Style of Team Bear Club<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
