Justin Vernon is back with his side project Volcano Choir<\/p>\n

Volcano Choir — Repave<\/p>\n

Repave is the second album from Volcano Choir, a band headed by Justin Vernon also known as Bon Iver. \u00a0Their sound is highly instrumental with very soothing vocals on all of the tracks. \u00a0\u00a0It is a good follow up to their debut album “Unmap” \u00a0from 2009 the sound is consistent but more put together in terms of the cohesiveness of the band. \u00a0We start off with “Tiderays” \u00a0and “Acetate” which is a great way to start the album off strong and make us want to hear more. \u00a0\u00a0The vocals are incredible on these tracks as well as on the the rest of the album. \u00a0\u00a0The indie folk sound is pretty much at its best on the tracks “Alaskans” and “Kneel”. \u00a0“Almanac” \u00a0ends this album with one of the best songs on the album and satisfies the listener after having listened to the whole thing through.<\/p>\n
