After a meteoric rise to the top of the underground, they quietly split in 2006, leaving that one album as their legacy. However, they reunited this year and have put a fantastic second album that is sure to please any fan of their first album.

The album is all about the energy. From the opening chords of “Cheap Talk” to the ending of the title track “The Physical World,” this album pulls you by the throat and doesn’t let you go. The riffs are hard and crunchy; especially on highlights like “Nothin’ Left.” Other high points include the salaciously titled “Virgins,” which is a fun song despite how crass some of the lyrics might be (it’s still FCC clean don’t worry.)

I would definitely recommend this album if you’re looking for something punk that you can dance to as well.

Recommended if you like: Jaoandroids, Bass Drum of Death, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Recommended Tracks: “Nothin’ Left,” “Cheap Talk,” and “Virgins”

Reviewed by Jake Waters on September 23, 2014

[15,3230,181

post-31767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured-on-kjhk","category-new-music-rotation","category-rock-rotation
["GET
