Read on for event details and ticket information from KU News.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Release from KU News, posted Monday, Jan. 19:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The White House has provided the following information regarding ticket distribution for President Obama&#8217;s event at the University of Kansas. The university has no additional detail beyond what is provided below.<\/p>\n<p>President Obama\u2019s remarks at KU are free and open to the public. Tickets are required and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be limited to one ticket per person. Due to limited space, the White House will only be able to distribute a limited number of tickets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KU Student, Faculty and Staff Tickets<\/strong><br \/>\nTuesday, Jan. 20<br \/>\nBeginning at 9 a.m.<br \/>\nSUA Box Office, Kansas Union (Level 4)<br \/>\n1301 Jayhawk Blvd, Lawrence, KS<br \/>\nValid KU ID must be presented to receive ticket<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Tickets<\/strong><br \/>\nTuesday, January 20<br \/>\nBeginning at 5 p.m.<br \/>\nDouglas County Fairgrounds &#8211; Dreher 4-H Building<br \/>\n2110 Harper St., Lawrence, KS<br \/>\nEntrance is located east of the extension offices<\/p>\n<p>Event-day logistics for ticketed members of the public are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Entry<\/strong><br \/>\nAnschutz Sports Pavilion<br \/>\n1575 Irving Hill Rd,<br \/>\nLawrence, KS 66045<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doors Open<\/strong><br \/>\n8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking and Shuttling<\/strong><br \/>\nParking is not available in the lots around Anschutz Sports Pavilion, except for a limited number of handicapped spots. Guests should park in <a href=\"http:\/\/places.ku.edu\/map\" target=\"_blank\">Lots 301 and 302<\/a>, which are accessible via Crestline Drive and 23rd Street. From those lots, shuttles will be provided to Anschutz Sports Pavilion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><br \/>\nTickets are required for entry. Tickets are not for sale or re-sale. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit personal items. No signs or banners are permitted. All attendees will go through airport-like security.
