Unceremoniously titled, <em>Bandulu 005<\/em> is their latest release on their own label which has been sparse in its output. The lack of releases, however, speaks to the quality control involved with Bandulu and <em>Bandulu 005 <\/em>has obviously had a lot of care and refinement put into it. The second track, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YgQ_FDuE_KQ\">\u201cDick Tracy\u201d<\/a>, draws on the classic American comic book antihero with a lurking bassline and creeping synthesized harp that gives the impression of a rainy night in an unlit urban alley. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HymsGL9xWrc\">\u201cCloud Base\u201d<\/a> is another pounder on this four track EP that contains the familiar clapped snares, Gorgon snarl sample, and reverb-y bass that we\u2019ve come to expect from Kahn &amp; Neek. <em>Bandulu 005<\/em> is one that demands the bass be cranked all the way up and gun fingers ready at all times.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33372\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33372\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-33372\" src=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Kahn &amp; Neek - Bandulu 005\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005.jpg 600w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/kahn-and-neek-005-125x125.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-33372\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kahn &amp; Neek &#8211; <i>Bandulu 005<i><\/i><\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hysterics \u2013 <em>Hysterics EP<\/em> (Night Slugs): Hysterics is Girl Unit\u2019s latest pseudonym and offers the Night Slugs stalwart an outlet for his more techno-based productions. The self-titled EP continues where his Club Constructions release left off: straight forward techno that is best left for the serious DJs and clubbers. The EP wastes no time getting down to business either: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MN8ErQBHQ4E\">\u201cClub Life\u201d<\/a> makes its intentions known right off the bat with a 130 BPM tempo and a driving bassline complemented by some warped synth action. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TQptNaw5X30\">\u201cEmpty\u201d<\/a> closes out the EP in an appropriate fashion, acting as a perfect 4 AM track to close down the club with dreamy soft synths and a muted bassline. It\u2019s been a while since the last proper Night Slugs release and it\u2019s been worth the wait.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33373\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33373\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-33373 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics-300x300.png\" alt=\"hysterics\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics-125x125.png 125w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/hysterics.png 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-33373\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hysterics &#8211; <i>Hysterics EP<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Occult Orientated Crime \u2013 <em>The Occult Orientated Crime Album<\/em> (Nightwind): Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt aka Occult Orientated Crime is one of the most versatile musicians working today. With Occult Orientated Crime, Wolfers has created a compelling moniker for his truly psychedelic ambient output. This isn\u2019t some warmed over, hazy, wannabe 80s worship. No, <em>the Occult Orientated Crime Album<\/em> is a genuinely trippy experience. Wolfers employs the coldest, most metallic synths and sequencers to create a disquieting effect in this ambient, as if one is exploring the ruins of an ancient planet and the ghosts are silently watching you (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hkDj_J1wjQs\">\u201cNatufian Modelling Agency\u201d<\/a> best exemplifies this affect).
