Last week Alternative Press released this year’s 100 Bands Issue and I am ecstatic. Every year the editors over at AP pick their top 100 bands and compile them into one giant print issue where each band is profiled. If print isn’t really your thing and you would rather get straight to the jams, AP has posted a playlist featuring all 100 bands on Spotify. Just search 2015 100 Bands You Need To Know. The list includes new tracks from old favorites like Seaway but it also spotlights new bands to get on your radar.

One band that I am particularly happy to see on the list is AS IT IS (yes it’s supposed to in screaming all caps). The U.K. has blessed us with yet another phenomenal pop-punk five piece. New to Fearless Records, AS IT IS has released two singles, “Dial Tones” and “Concrete”, from their debut album Never Happy, Ever After which is said to be put out this April. This transatlantic pop-punk band is currently on Glamour Kills’ Spring Break tour with Set It Off and Against the Current. The tour stopped at out little town of Lawrence on March 5th, if you were able to attend please shoot me an email because I would love to hear all about it!

Written by Krystal Oseguera.
