They were also on the bill for last year\u2019s Austin Psych Fest lineup, a music festival started by The Black Angels in 2008. Nothing says psychedelic like a Japanese band name that translates to \u201cgeometric patterns.\u201d <em>Forest of Lost Children<\/em> contains six tracks plus a \u201csecret\u201d track number seven entitled \u201cSmoke in Trees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This record has its moments of punchy, rhythmic jam-rock that echo a band like Umphrey\u2019s McGee with tracks like \u201cHem\u201d but also channels more groovy, world sounds reminiscent of Thievery Corporation with the use of a sitar on the tracks \u201cStreets of Galoutta\u201d and \u201cSmoke in Trees.\u201d Kikagaku Moyo is seemingly perfect for a festival setting and allegedly wow crowds with their live performances. They\u2019re undoubtedly a strange mix of genres channeling styles anywhere from psychedelic folk to blues jam-rock.
