Williams, the grandson of legendary composer John Williams, released <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Into <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">via <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/companyrecordlabel.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Company Records<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/carparkrecords.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carpark Records<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sub-label operated by Chaz Bundick of Toro Y Moi. Started in the 2014, Company\u2019s roster consists of Williams, Bundick\u2019s Les Sins and Keath Mead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Into <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">begins with the swirling, buoyant \u201cGold Lodge\u201d that sets the cosmic tone for the album with ethereal vocals and mellow rhythms. Williams\u2019 voice then acts as a brush with long, reverberated phrases and droning instrumentation playing along to create openness in \u201cSpace Age Utopia.\u201d This record churns along slowly but sweetly and by the time the entrancing \u201cWorld Soul\u201d appears, you recognize it\u2019s only been fifteen minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Williams channels his label mate Bundick\u2019s wavy, melodic sound in tracks like \u201cThe Tears of an Inanimate Object\u201d and \u201cIguana City.\u201d After a long interlude, Williams\u2019 voice returns for the last minute of \u201cIguana City\u201d coupled by the crisp splash of the drums to create one of the better moments on the album.<\/p>\n<p>He is able to captivate listeners with his charm and simplicity on tracks like \u201cGreatest Lives\u201d and \u201cZero Wonder\u201d while delving into prolonged excursions like the album\u2019s ten minute finale \u201cXol Rumi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams, who has released an EP or LP in each of the last four years, spent the spring of 2015 touring alongside Toro Y Moi and later toured with Unknown Mortal Orchestra in July.
