Ethan Graham:<\/strong>\u00a0The first question is, as always, what\u2019s your favorite color and why?
\nRicky Smith:<\/strong> My favorite color is red. When I was a kid, my mom went to NC State and they\u2019ve been my favorite team since. So I liked the color red. Plus, my high school was red. <\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> So to follow that up, what is your quest?
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> I remember you saying something about that and I still don\u2019t get the reference.<\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong>\u00a0I\u2019ll tell you when we\u2019re done.
\nRS:<\/strong>\u00a0Well my quest is to achieve everything that my little kid-self wanted to. Like having my own studio, I always wanted that. I want to make my little kid-self happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"IMG_9210\"<\/a>EG:<\/strong>\u00a0Who is your favorite superhero and why?
\nRS:<\/strong> Oh, that\u2019s a hard one. It would\u00a0either be Spiderman or Superman. \u00a0I\u2019m going to go Spiderman because it (the movie) was one of the first ones that I came across. I mean the first one (movie) came out in my childhood, in 2002. \u00a0Plus, I\u2019ve always wanted to shoot webs and climb on walls and stuff. I was Spiderman for three different Halloweens. <\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> Cool, I was Spiderman for my first Halloween. Next up, what is your favorite childhood cartoon?
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Ohhh, Dexter\u2019s Lab.
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> That\u2019s a good one.
\nRS:<\/strong> That or Rugrats, can I only have one?
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> You can have as many as you want.
\nRS:<\/strong> Ah, dude, yeah. \u00a0My top three would be Dexter, Rugrats and Rocko\u2019s Modern Life. Which if you\u2019ve ever seen my art you\u2019d see the influence. No one taught me how to draw so I just learned from what I saw.
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> I remember Nickelodeon doing those “How to Draw” bumpers between cartoons. I could\u00a0learn how to draw Timmy Turner.
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Yeah, yeah, I remember those. <\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> All right, what would you do if you were the lone survivor in a plane crash?
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Well first off, I\u2019d probably be in shock. I don\u2019t know, start praying. Start living life to the fullest. <\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> What is your favorite 90\u2019s jam?
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Oof, that\u2019s really hard, it\u2019s a really tough question. \u00a0I\u2019d have to say Guns N\u2019 Roses with the song, \u201cNovember Rain.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> What do you want to be when you grow up? Even though I pretty much know it.
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Yeah, being a cartoon creator, or a filmmaker. What if I said I wanted to be a doctor? You\u2019d be like \u201cwhat?\u201d Yeah, drawing is just a hobby man.<\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> Okay, so if you were on a desert island and could only have three things what would they be?
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> My iPad, something to draw on, and music. I could be happy with just that anywhere. I could just be holed up in a corner with those three things and I\u2019d be cool.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Uh\u2026 that\u2019s a tough one too, I can\u2019t think of anything clever. \u00a0\u00a0I don\u2019t know. Something with ‘toon.’
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> I don\u2019t even want to say it now because I\u2019ve got something.
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> You do?
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> It just makes sense since your name is Ricky.
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Oh what is it?
\n<\/span>EG:<\/strong> RickToon
\n<\/span>RS:<\/strong> Oh, dude that\u2019s a good one, and my twitter handle is even Rickelodeon. Yeah let\u2019s go with that. It\u2019s awesome. I don\u2019t even know why I didn\u2019t think of that. <\/span><\/p>\n

EG:<\/strong> So last question, what is your favorite band? You can have as many as you want.
