The beautiful reinvention of an album from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard,\u00a0Paper Mache Dream Balloon<\/a><\/em><\/span>, takes our number one spot this week. This album is their seventh and a massive departure from their earlier sound. It has a combination of jazz\/folk\/rock vibes, and was recorded on acoustic instruments with additions from a flute that are soothing, albeit much different than their earlier tunes. All together a lovely experiment, Paper Mache Dream Balloon\u00a0<\/em>still gets strange, trippy, and very lively at times, especially from the energy from the percussion and flute.\u00a0Standout tracks include “Sense”, “Trapdoor”, and “Most Of What I Like”.<\/p>\n Moving up 8 spots from last week, UK group\u00a0Shopping takes our number two spot with their second LP,\u00a0Why Choose<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/em>Described by KJHK Music Staff writer Dylan Fox: “it sounds like the instrumentals of early \u201980s Cure were plucked and wrung clean into crisp instrumentation before being sprinkled with more socially relevant lyrics. That\u2019s a good thing.”<\/p>\n Our number three spot goes to long runner on the charts and former number one,\u00a0Vega Intl. Night School<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>This album has been an inarguable success in the electronic world.
