On his latest album, however, he takes influence not only from American folk music but from British folk as well.

Notable tracks include “New Whaling”, “Black Captain” and “We are Unhappy.” These tunes are full of intricately played acoustic guitar passages and a desperate sense of longing for the American Dream. Songs for which any fan of folk is sure to enjoy. This just proves that after all these years, Billy’s work still stands up with the best of his contemporaries.
