Why don&#8217;t you look out the window,&#8221; singer Kassie Carlson\u00a0appropriately exclaims on the first\u00a0track, &#8220;Multibeast TV.&#8221; This follow up to <em>Gay Disco<\/em> was released on New York label DFA Records, and\u00a0is like waking up in the morning, looking out the window, and finding yourself transported to an alternate dimension or an alien planet. Everything is fantastic and unfamiliar.\u00a0Bass lines bounce and bend in and out of focus, flamboyant latin percussion accents the always\u00a0danceable beat. Electronic samples zap and zip while Carlson&#8217;s idiosyncratic vocals weave\u00a0through it all.<\/p>\n<p>Expanded consciousness is a reoccurring theme, the everyday seems extraordinary;\u00a0dolls come alive, time loses meaning, television screens and windows become indistinguishable from\u00a0each other.
