Working out of Michigan, Dear Tracks are a four-piece band making jangly guitar pop that makes you yearn for the heyday of bands like The Cure.

The EP may only be four tracks long, but it packs plenty of punch. Even without the release of a full-length album, they really have their sound down. The focus is on the instruments while vocals are extremely drowned out putting more emphasis on the atmosphere rather than any lyrical meaning. If you feel bands such as Real Estate and Wild Nothing can run together at times then that may be an issue with this group as well.

Recommended If You Like: The Cure, Wild Nothing, The Pains of Being Pure of Heart

Recommended Tracks: 1 (Moment of Clarity), 4 (Soft Dreams)

Do Not Play: None

Written by Zach Hill on 03/19/16

For fans of projects like Wild Nothing, the Soft Dreams EP will make you look up at the stars and watch as they dance along with you.

[4,3235,3230,181
4611,11,3367,4671,4255
post-43097","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-music","category-music-reviews","category-new-music-rotation","category-rock-rotation","tag-dear-tracks","tag-new-music-rotation","tag-rock-rotation","tag-soft-dreams-ep","tag-zach-hill
["GET
