Although a split effort between two distinct groups, Bjork’s eccentrics bleed through heavily throughout the EP, not that this is a bad thing. On “On and Ever Onward,” a chorus of “ehhs” backs the main vocal line and “Sharing Orb” starts off without a slightly out-of-key humming choir. And although, the musical stylings of the EP are a bit mellower than the Dirty Projectors last great work, Bitte Orca, the release fits nicely within their canon. Although a bit detached from current trends, the music on Mount Wittenberg Orca will appeal to Bjork and Dirty Projector fans regardless.

Reviewed by: Paul Thomas on November 6th, 2011

RIYL: Bjork’s solo works, The Sugarcubes

Recommended Tracks: 1, 2, 5

FCC Warning: None

Label: Domino

Release Date: October 24, 2011

[3230,181
455,397
post-4647","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-new-music-rotation","category-rock-rotation","tag-bjork-and-the-dirty-projectors","tag-paul-thomas
["GET
