With Shapeshifter, Ian Sweet deliver a unique style of indie pop that sounds reminiscent of the soundtrack to the best indie movie of the summer, but in a totally unique and groovy way. I constantly found myself being lost in Jillian Medford’s distorted guitar riffs and her eerie lyrics. The band’s artistic abilities are easy to spot just by looking at the cover art or glancing at song titles such as “Slime Time Live.” Yep, that’s a reference to the popular Nickelodeon show. I found this album very refreshing and spontaneous and will be keeping this on repeat.

Recommended If You Like: Bully, Bleached, The Concretes
Recommended Tracks: 2 (Slime Time Live), 3 (#23), 7 (All Skaters Go to Heaven)
Do Not Play: None
Written by Cole Francis on 09/14/2016

Reminiscent of the soundtrack to the best indie movie of the summer, but in a totally unique and groovy way.

[181
5286,5390,5391
post-49379","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-rock-rotation","tag-cole-francis","tag-ian-sweet","tag-shapeshifter
["GET
