Their second EP, Loud Dreams, is an interesting album. The album artwork is vibrant and eye-catching–purples, pinks, greens, reds and oranges are meshed together in a fast paced whirl; sort of like how the world looks when you spin around really fast. “Reboot”, the first track on the album, has the synthesizer as its main instrument while the vocals of Logan Thierjung are manipulated into a futuristic echo. It’s a very ominous track. “Loud Dreams” sounds like a continuation of “Reboot” but even better. The drums, the bass and the guitars joined in with the synthesizer to create something beautiful. “Loud Dreams” is something that you would hear in the morning before a run. It’s like citrus, an alarm clock or the smell of fresh pancakes; it wakes you up. “Beautiful Rampage” has great percussion and bass action and the guitar riffs are literally the auditory embodiment of a freestyle dancer. “Caveman” has the indisputably best bassline on Loud Dreams. “Lust Wander” was one of the slower songs on the album but the vocals harmonized with the bass and the guitars splendidly. “Rain” is filled with strong emotional lyrics. The decrescendos, crescendos and musical rests amplify these emotions. And of course, “Streets” was the perfect upbeat track to end the album with. Loud Dreams gets 5 stars from me.

Recommended If You Like: Two Door Cinema Club, Arctic Monkeys, Foster the People, Alpine
Recommended Tracks: 4 (Caveman), 3 (Beautiful Rampage), 6 (Rain), 7 (Streets)
Do Not Play: None
Written by Tabitha Moore on 10/02/2016

“Loud Dreams” is something that you would hear in the morning before a run.
