He was determined not to make this a break-up album but instead focus on how modern day love interacts with the growing involvement of technology in our lives. The power of Dare&#8217;s music comes from his honest lyrics and strong voice. Each song on this album delivers a different message with a unique sound. Songs like &#8216;Doublethink&#8217; and &#8216;Venus&#8217; are more traditional while &#8216;Oh Father&#8217; and &#8216;New York&#8217; move in a more abstract direction.
