Thanksgiving week has gone and passed and everyone is left sitting in regret of the (at least) six deadly sins exercised this week. Wrath was likely the first to thrust itself onto the kitchen table when the drunkest of extended family mentioned the election. Then it was followed with Blatant gluttony followed by rampant sloth. Greed and envy capture the spirit of Black Friday consumerism the next day, and then perhaps at some point you show off your new discount blender to an angry aunt? I am trying hard here and figured working in lust would be a little awkward. Naturally though, we are all looking for a little something to cleanse our souls and thankfully KJHK delivers with a new round of Charts & Adds! Though, this week will only contain the charts due to Thanksgiving break. After the fifth place on this list things begin to churn.<\/p>\n

To be blunt, half of this album is black leather, steel over a bonfire, knee-busting cool. The other half is unbridled top 25 commercial Alt-Station drool. That is why it feels like such a crime that the first half of this album is the origin of all of the airtime by most marketing and larger radio outlets.<\/p>\n

2. ATROCITY EXHIBITION BY DANNY BROWN<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAre you surprised? Zany and spooky \u2013 this album is something is well worth the hype. Danny Brown\u2019s flow is on display here as he cycles from track to track. There is an abstract experimental side to this album that achieves its goals without falling to pretentiousness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe album artwork is awful.This being said, the drop of this album at the end of this past week was monumental for so many Americans. It also contributed to one of the most solid Saturday Night Live<\/em>episodes in recent memory. There is a level of maturity in this album that is hard to reach without digging deep into the best of a musician\u2019s talent and experience. Considering the four musicians and star-studded features list, this album is nothing short of a sober look at a reality that few artists ever get a chance to convey before they begin to chase the authenticity that they once had. Again, there are some incredible features on this albums (e.g. Jack White), but the listener won\u2019t notice them. Raw emotion outshines anything extra. Consider this a Blackstar<\/em>\u00a0tribute to the Five-foot Assassin himself, Phife Dog. R.I.P.\u201d<\/p>\n
