PAO mixes these elements in with the tribal elements of African drum circles, chanting words, and an overall theme of acceptance and interpersonal love. The sound scape is fraught with low baritone sax as it accompanies the three-person choir. This all lies on top of the myriad of instruments in this fifteen-person band. The music is calm enough to blend into any background and lay rhythms into the subconscious. The four tracks are each equal in their own rights allowing room for the historic, the grievance, the call to action, and the eventual hope for a better tomorrow.

Recommended If You Like: War
Recommended Tracks: 1 (Oppression Scatter Us)
Do Not Play: N/a
Written by TJ Duncan on 02/02/2017

PAO brings these elements in with the tribal elements of African drum circles, chanting words, and an overall theme of acceptance…

[183,4,3235
6640,6641,6642,6639,6638,6635
post-55114","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-jazz-rotation","category-music","category-music-reviews","tag-african","tag-drums","tag-oppression-scatter-us","tag-pao","tag-pheonix-afrobeat-orchestra","tag-tj-duncan
["GET
