\"\"I originally grabbed this album because it was compared to The Violent Femmes (one of my all-time favorites). I can swiftly say I was not disappointed. The garage sounding instrumentals mixed with the pleasingly folk-punk vocals makes for a sound that is comparable to all the greats while at the same time maintaining a sense of self. The music slides easily between fast and hard to slow and flowing without causing the listener whiplash. The album\u2019s first song \u201cTen Thousand\u201d gives you an immediate indication of what to expect from the rest of the album. A fast moving song with all the values of punk but none of the harshness. I immediately thought of the subgenre \u201cfolk-punk\u201d. You\u2019ll be hooked from the first few seconds. \u201cNo More Cryin\u2019\u201d introduces harmonica to the game with much avail. With this song the band manages to maintain their punk feel while at the same time changing things up and moving more toward rockabilly. With many bands such a song would feel out of place, but because there a sprinkles of this feel all throughout the album it feels natural when introduced fully into a song. Hopefully if you listen to this album, like me, you won\u2019t be disappointed.
