The album title captures the 46 minute album\u2019s beach rock sound. Lime Cordiale hails from Sydney and growing up on Australia\u2019s northern beaches clearly influenced their surfer vibe.<\/p>\n<p>Lime Cordiale has put out three EP\u2019s, but <em>Permanent Vacation<\/em> gives them much more time to explore their sound. For serious Lime fans, do not worry, your dance-friendly tracks are still there, but they also show a more introspective side.<\/p>\n<p>Songs like \u201cUp in the Air\u201d and \u201cOther Way Round\u201d are laid-back, while songs like \u201cTemper Temper\u201d are very upbeat. Despite the mood switches, this album definitely has cohesion. The cello, piano, keyboard, strings, and brass tie all the tunes together.<\/p>\n<p>The Leimback brothers sing about passionate relationships on several tracks. \u201cTemper Temper\u201d describes how despite knowing their connection is wrong, \u201cI don&#8217;t mind a little psycho\u201d The relationship is a bit rough around the edges, but that seems to be the appeal. We see this theme again in \u201cRisky Love\u201d where he worries that \u201cmost likely you&#8217;re just taking it out on me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Permanent Vacation<\/em> was released on Friday the 13th through Chugg Music. Lime\u2019s 2015 EP, Road to Paradise, took us on the vacation we\u2019ve been looking forward to. While indie-pop albums can often get lost in their genre, this album is nothing short of sublime.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\nRecommended If You Like: Grouplove, Portugal.
