We’ve had some big streaks broken at KU this weekend, including Mitski’s hold on the number one spot for our most played album of the week. A good shake-up in these charts is always welcome when we’ve got as much good music coming as we do! There’s movement all across the board as well as some big impacting adds from last week so be sure to check out this week’s top 30:<\/p>\n

Top 5 Charts:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.) Wild Nothing –\u00a0Indigo<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Up from number five last week we have the 4th LP from Wild Nothing,\u00a0Indigo.\u00a0<\/em>(From a previous week:)\u00a0“Indigo\u00a0<\/em>is a lush, dreamy collection of 80s-inflected pop. It’s amazing, seriously.”<\/p>\n

2.) Saintseneca – Pillar of Na<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Making the jump from number 11 last week is\u00a0Pillar of Na,\u00a0<\/em>the latest project from Saintseneca. Zac Little’s ability to create layered, catchy folk-pop tunes is nothing new, but the band is pushed to new territory with this latest release. The band will be performing at the Bottleneck on September 20th.<\/p>\n

3.) Mitski –\u00a0Be The Cowboy<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

(From previous week:)\u00a0Be the Cowboy\u00a0<\/em>is Mitski\u2019s fifth studio album, and a fantastic addition to her already impressive discography. Whether a full band is playing or it\u2019s just Mitski and her piano, each of the fourteen tracks hits you in a way that only she can.<\/p>\n

4.) The Beths –\u00a0Future Me Hates Me<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

(From previous week:) The Beths are an exciting four-piece band out of New Zealand.\u00a0Future Me Hates Me\u00a0<\/em>is energetic and catchy, and front woman Elizabeth Stokes’ reflective and self-critical lyrics give the band a strong emotional edge.<\/p>\n

5.) Foxing –\u00a0Nearer My God<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Never a band to be easily classified into a definitive genre, the group even further distorts these boundaries in Nearer My God.
