Sasami \u2013 Sasami<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [From previous week] Sasami Ashworth has been making a name for herself as an exciting, versatile multi-instrumentalist while backing a number of bands including Cherry Glazerr, Froth, and more. Ashworth more than proves her capability in leading the charge, crafting her own unique sound and aesthetic with this self-titled debut. The album doesn\u2019t revolve one specific theme or feeling, but overall offers us a vivid insight to Ashworth\u2019s thought processes & emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.) Weyes Blood –<\/strong>Titanic Rising<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Natalie Mering has never been one to shy away from ambitious tasks. Despite being faced with following up her 3rd album as Weyes Blood, 2016’s critically acclaimed Front Row Seat To Earth<\/em>, she upped the ante even more with a new album Titanic Rising. <\/em>The album explores deep themes of humanity through a lens that feels almost otherworldly at times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.) Nil\u00fcfer Yanya \u2013 Miss Universe<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [From previous week] Nil\u00fcfer Yanya, the UK-based songwriter, has made quite an impact with her debut album Miss Universe. Yanya has a unique vocal annotations that take each genre spanning track to a whole new level. Miss Universe is a stunning collection of beautifully written songs exploring a vivid world of art pop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4.) Drugdealer \u2013 Raw Honey<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Drugdealer has a knack for taking familar and soothing sounds of 60s psychedelia and 70s pop rock and turning them into something contemporary and fresh. Michael Collins, Drugdealer’s frontman, has kept himself busy over the years in a variety of fields of art, but this album shows his unique and growing skill set for songwriting and composing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n 5.) Mess \u2013 Learning How To Talk<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [From previous week] This Kansas City quartet has its roots in a KU dorm room, where Allison Gliesman started recording music on an iPhone. The group takes real struggles and gives them a real spin that will not only make these topics digestible, but enjoyable.
