The group takes real struggles and gives them a real spin that will not only make these topics digestible, but enjoyable. Patio \u2013 <em>Essentials <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current era of post-punk is constantly progressing the genre in both instrumentation and songwriting, although the Brooklyn trio Patio take a more minimalist and back to the basics approach on their debut LP <em>Essentials<\/em>. Priests &#8211; <\/strong><em><strong>The Seduction of Kansas<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A punk band from Washington DC with today&#8217;s governmental leadership is undoubtedly going to have some politically charged lyrics. PUP \u2013 <em>Morbid Stuff <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stefan Babcock, vocalist for the Toronto punk outfit PUP, has a unique ability to carry songs gleefully through negative, nihilistic, and self-depreciating lyrics over booming and cathartic punk melodies.
