Boy Harsher \u2013 <em>Careful<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Careful<\/em>, The newest full length from Brooklyn DIY electronic duo Boy Harsher initially flew under our radar   when it was released back in February, but we&#8217;ve since fallen in love with it. Few albums mange to achieve both the dark, haunting atmosphere <em>Careful <\/em>carries while maintaining the ability to dance all the way from the opening track to the closer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/big-thief-ufof-1551118828-640x640-1556116999-640x640-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-70688\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/big-thief-ufof-1551118828-640x640-1556116999-640x640-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/big-thief-ufof-1551118828-640x640-1556116999-640x640-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/big-thief-ufof-1551118828-640x640-1556116999-640x640-125x125.jpeg 125w, https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/big-thief-ufof-1551118828-640x640-1556116999-640x640.jpeg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.) Big Thief \u2013 <em>U.F.O.F.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <em>U.F.O.F<\/em>.&#8217;s simplicity shouldn&#8217;t be mistaken for lack of depth or inspiration, as the 3rd album from the folk quartet is some of the band&#8217;s strongest, and most chillingly beautiful work yet. Adrienne Lenker&#8217;s songwriting seems to never stay stagnant, as the characters that comprise <em>U.F.O.F<\/em>. are much more fleeting and ethereal than the ones we&#8217;ve encountered in previous albums. Grace Ives \u2013 <em>2nd<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grace Ives knows exactly what she wants to say in her music, and she wastes no time doing so. Dehd &#8211; <em>Water<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summer in Lawrence is right around the corner, and with the change in seasons comes a need for tunes to cool off and chill out. Dehd&#8217;s <em>Water <\/em>is a perfect soundtrack to beat the heat, but it also serves as an important emotional outlet for the band themselves.
