Here are some of our current favorites at KJHK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top 5 Charts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.pitchfork.com\/photos\/5d22a42b332ba40008a6ee0e\/1:1\/w_320\/Blood-Orange.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for blood orange angels pulse cover\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.) Blood Orange &#8211; <em>Angel&#8217;s Pulse<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Angel&#8217;s Pulse <\/em>tops the KJHK charts for a second week. Diverging in several senses from previous works, like <em>Negro Swan<\/em>, <em>Angel&#8217;s Pulse<\/em> is an eclectic &#8220;mix-tape&#8221; of sorts, featuring a plethora of collaborators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.simpleimageresizer.com\/_uploads\/photos\/169e32f8\/night_moves_320x320.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.) Night Moves &#8211; <em>Can You Really Find Me<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This third album from Minneapolis group Night Moves is perhaps their most dazzling work yet. The dim, neon-illuminated room on the cover of <em>Can You Really Find Me<\/em> echoes the dreamy, soulful quality of the songs within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.simpleimageresizer.com\/_uploads\/photos\/169e32f8\/hippo_campus_320x320.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.) Hippo Campus &#8211;<em> Demos II<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birthed during the summer of 2017 and winter of 2018, <em>Demos II<\/em> is a rough draft of sorts, containing several songs which did not make it onto the album <em>Bambi<\/em>. Even if they didn&#8217;t make the cut, however, these songs hold the same Hippo Campus charm that fans have come to know and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.simpleimageresizer.com\/_uploads\/photos\/169e32f8\/drab_majesty_320x320.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.) Drab Majesty &#8211; <em>Modern Mirror<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Described as a &#8220;Gothic-New Wave&#8221; duo, Drab Majesty crafts shimmery synth pop tracks that seem to transcend time and genre. Listening to <em>Modern Mirror<\/em> is like having an fever dream set in the 80&#8217;s (in the best way possible). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.pitchfork.com\/photos\/5ce41272c13a4571bee8321c\/1:1\/w_320\/PurpleMountains_PurpleMountains.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for purple mountains album cover\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.) Purple Mountains &#8211; <em>Purple Mountains<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We here at KJHK would like to take a moment to remember the life of David Berman, who passed away last week. Berman was previously a member of Silver Jews and most recently known for his work under the title Purple Mountains.
