Middle of The Map Fest (MOTM<\/a>) returns to Kansas City for its ninth straight year, ramping up for another two days of fantastic music in one of their most vibrant cultural districts. Started in 2011 as a joint venture<\/a> between KC\u2019s Ink magazine<\/a> and The Record Machine<\/a>, MOTM has since then grown to include 60+ diverse acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s headliners feature some iconic female voices of the current lo-fi and indie scene — Clairo<\/a>, Snail Mail<\/a> and Beadadoobee<\/a> — setting a dreamy, contemplative mood, perfect for the end of summer 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the festival has always featured internationally recognized headliners such as Spoon, Vince Staples, OK Go, Iron and Wine, but is still ultimately the gathering place for up-and-coming local favorites — many of which have come through KJHK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lincoln, Nebraska-based soul band features a new age-rock sound, which blends beautifully with influences of r&b, hip hop and pop music. The Fey will take you on a groove that will have you nodding the whole time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
