Jay Som \u2013&nbsp;<em>Anak Ko<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though Jay Som\u2019s previous album,&nbsp;<em>Everybody Works<\/em>, is a tough record to top, the artist has continued to gain momentum with&nbsp;<em>Anak Ko<\/em>. As the indie music scene becomes more and more dominated by powerful, talented women, Jay Som is undoubtedly one of the leading forces. BROCKHAMPTON \u2013&nbsp;<em>Ginger<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BROCKHAMPTON\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Ginger<\/em>&nbsp;is somehow both raw and mature, a bit more melancholy than many of their previous works. Black Belt Eagle Scout &#8211; <em>At the Party With My Brown Friend<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>s<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katherine Paul (the voice behind Black Belt Eagle Scout) presents an excellent sophomore album following her debut, <em>Mother of My Children<\/em>. Though <em>At the Party With My Brown Friends<\/em> is not as explicitly political as her first album, this record is a glimpse into what it means to be an indigenous woman in the music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/media.pitchfork.com\/photos\/5d6ed26ab6cdc300086117d5\/1:1\/w_320\/cosmos_closeitquietly.jpg?w=1200&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Image result for frankie cosmos close it quietly\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.) Frankie Cosmos \u2013&nbsp;<em>Close It Quietly<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the fourth Frankie Cosmos record, lead singer Greta Kline explores the joys and perils of being in one\u2019s twenties.
