This is it, folks… the last C&A of the semester. It’s been a great run, and we’ve explored a lot of fantastic music together in the past few months. Never fear: We will be back and better than ever next semester! But until then, we here at KJHK hope you have an amazing winter break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.) Angel Olsen \u2013\u00a0All Mirrors<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to the brash, bold attitude Olsen has taken toward many of her previous albums,\u00a0All Mirrors<\/em>\u00a0displays a softer, more hesitant side to the artist. The record contains pieces Olsen created in isolation in Anacortes, Washington, many re-imagined with a stunning 12-piece string arrangement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.) Danny Brown \u2013\u00a0uknowwhatimsayin\u00bf<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though Danny Brown is nearing 40 and uknowwhatimsayin\u00bf <\/em>marks his fifth studio album, the record is anything but routine. This new release is executive produced by Q-Tip, yielding an interesting mixture of old-school charm and innovative weirdness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.) Men I Trust \u2013\u00a0Oncle Jazz<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After nearly two years of teasers for the album, Men I Trust finally released\u00a0Oncle Jazz<\/em>\u00a0earlier this fall. The record in full lasts an entire 71 minutes, and, as the title suggests, it\u2019s as smooth and funky as it is an indie staple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.) BROCKHAMPTON \u2013 Ginger<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BROCKHAMPTON\u2019s\u00a0Ginger<\/em>\u00a0is somehow both raw and mature, a bit more melancholy than many of their previous works. The record is vulnerable, painting a picture of many of the very real issues the band\u2019s members have personally experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.) Wilco \u2013\u00a0Ode to Joy<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a band that is already on its 11th studio album, Wilco nonetheless does not fail to impress.\u00a0Ode to Joy<\/em>\u00a0is a departure from many previous Wilco works; the album is more spacious and focuses more heavily on finding the joy in life, rather than simply facing its obstacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
