Dan Deacon &#8211; <em>Mystic Familiar<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Deacon returns to the psychedelic pop sound that he has explored on past records and expands upon it, making this record dreamier and more enigmatic and delivering longer, more patient tracks that rely on a minimalist texture and a realized landscape to capture listeners. <em>Read the rest of music staffer Matt Stratton&#8217;s review <a href=\"https:\/\/kjhk.org\/web\/?p=72463\">here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/music.mxdwn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/EQ-sDV1XUAIjATQ-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for tame impala the slow rush cover\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.) Tame Impala &#8211; <em>The Slow Rush<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tame Impala&#8217;s groundbreaking <em>Currents<\/em> was a hard album to follow up; this may be, in part, why <em>The Slow Rush<\/em> arrived a full five years later. Though it is debatable whether this album lives up to its predecessor, <em>The Slow Rush<\/em> is a dynamic album and a strong return for Tame Impala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0161\/8690\/products\/BELLA1022V_1024x.jpg?resize=320%2C320&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Image result for ezra furman sex education soundtrack\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.) Ezra Furman \u2013&nbsp;<em>Sex Education Original Soundtrack<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ezra Furman\u2019s artsy folk-punk style is a perfect complement to the antics in Netflix\u2019s original show, Sex Education. What makes this soundtrack particularly phenomenal, however, is that the songs hold their own even apart from the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/afs-prod\/media\/b99b94fd233c4c00a1c11c13f3a149d2\/635.jpeg\" alt=\"Image result for marcus king el dorado\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.) Marcus King &#8211; <em>El Dorado<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Marcus King, music was not only a hobby but gave his life a sense of direction. It became a means of coping with mental health issues and life in general. <em>El Dorado<\/em> is the first solo album to King&#8217;s name, but he has been playing with The Marcus King Band for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/wallofsoundau.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/waax-album.jpg?fit=1200%2C1200&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Image result for waax big grief\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.) WAAX \u2013&nbsp;<em>Big Grief<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Big Grief<\/em>&nbsp;may be Brisbane group WAAX\u2019s debut album, but an impressive debut it is. The songs passionately and unflinchingly examine the trials and tribulations of coming of age.
